Who we are

Veyloca shows what is on near you. It is responsible for the personal data described on this page, collects as little as it can, uses it only to run the site, and sells none of it.

Visiting Veyloca

You can use Veyloca without an account, and it does not follow you from page to page or from site to site. To keep the site safe and to find faults, the server logs the IP address and browser of each visit. That log has a fixed size and overwrites its oldest lines as it fills.

Cookies

Veyloca sets no cookies for statistics or advertising, so there is nothing to consent to. Only someone who signs in gets cookies, one that keeps them signed in until they sign out, and one that lasts the fifteen minutes a sign-in link works.

The map

The map from Google loads only when you ask for it, and until then Veyloca shows a drawing of its own. Once it loads, your browser contacts Google, which receives your IP address under its own privacy policy.

Signing in

Organisers and staff sign in with their email address, without a password. Veyloca keeps that address and the name they give, and sends the sign-in email through Brevo, from servers in the European Union.

Events from other websites

Veyloca gathers events from the public websites and calendars of venues, organisers and cities, and names and links the source of every listing. An organiser can ask for a listing to be corrected or removed.

Where your data is kept, and for how long

Veyloca runs on a server in Nuremberg, Germany, and keeps uploaded files in the European Union. An account is kept until it is closed. A sign-up that is not finished within 24 hours is deleted with everything it holds.

Your rights and how to reach us

To see, correct or delete your data, or with any question about it, write to [email protected]. Veyloca answers within a month. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
